Your scheduled departure comes after a series of procedures. It is not your airport arrival time, security deadline or gate arrival time.
Check your airline’s specific requirements
Check the actual flight’s check-in, bag drop, boarding and document requirements. International departures, domestic connections and flights involving Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan may follow different arrangements.
We do not treat a single processing time as an official rule. Verify arrival requirements with your airline and airport, then allow time for your own circumstances.
Add travel to the correct terminal
Check current traffic for your actual starting point and terminal. A city-centre estimate may not suit your hotel or final stop. Include walking to the vehicle or station and any terminal transfers.
Check current terminal information. For example, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport’s airline directory includes T3; an older list may be incomplete.
Keep a separate buffer for uncertainty
Allow a separate traffic buffer rather than hiding it inside sightseeing time. Add luggage collection separately. An unverified duration is not zero.
Plan your day helps compare two service arrangements. Separately calculate the real window between your starting time and departure using verified durations.
Check the route after calculating the time
A positive balance only means time remains under your current assumptions. A place may be closed, too far away or unsuitable for your group. Check reservations, opening and last entry before turning an idea into a plan.
