Airport checks

PEK
Beijing Capital International Airport

Capital and Daxing are different airports. A route planned for one cannot simply be used for the other.

Planning for PEK in Beijing.

Capital (PEK) and Daxing (PKX) are separate Beijing airports. Confirm PEK on your ticket before planning a lakeside or park stop and requesting the final airport journey.

Possible stops before your PEK departure.

Start with one place, then check travel time from that actual location to your confirmed terminal.

  • Shichahai — Walk beside the lakes and through nearby lanes, checking your route back to the meeting point in advance.
  • Jingshan Park — Make one park your main stop. Include the uphill walk if you want to reach a viewpoint.
  • Beihai Park — Make an outdoor break around Beihai a standalone park visit before departure.

Build your airport time budget

Work backwards from your flight.

Check your airport and terminal against your ticket and the airline’s latest notice. Scheduled takeoff is not your airport arrival deadline.

  1. Confirm check-in, bag drop and boarding deadlines for your actual flight.
  2. Allow separate time for security, border procedures, terminal walking and any extra steps such as tax refunds.
  3. Check current traffic from your final stop to the correct terminal and add a traffic buffer.
  4. Include time to collect stored bags before heading to the airport.

Allow for each part separately.

This website does not provide live traffic, flight status or verified airport processing times. Verify durations before comparing your day’s arrangements; spare time is not a boarding guarantee.

For a domestic flight connecting to an international departure, follow each flight’s and airport’s requirements separately.
