Planning for TFU in Chengdu.
Tianfu (TFU) and Shuangliu (CTU) are separate airports. Do not infer the airport from your destination. The Shuangliu locker reference on this site does not apply to Tianfu.
Possible stops before your TFU departure.
Start with one place, then check travel time from that actual location to your confirmed terminal.
- Kuanzhai Alleys — Stroll through the lanes or stop for tea. A simple neighbourhood visit leaves room for luggage collection and departure.
- Jinli Street — A short wander and something to eat can be your last stop without adding a full museum visit.
- Chunxi Road — Use your last stop for a meal or a focused shopping visit, avoiding several widely separated locations.
Build your airport time budget
Work backwards from your flight.
Check your airport and terminal against your ticket and the airline’s latest notice. Scheduled takeoff is not your airport arrival deadline.
- Confirm check-in, bag drop and boarding deadlines for your actual flight.
- Allow separate time for security, border procedures, terminal walking and any extra steps such as tax refunds.
- Check current traffic from your final stop to the correct terminal and add a traffic buffer.
- Include time to collect stored bags before heading to the airport.
